                                                            AGRA TOUR
Agra, the city of the Taj, as it is recognized all over the globe, is the medieval capital of Mughal Empire in India.  Agra became the centre of attraction of many emperors of India. It is situated on the western bank of Yamuna River in Uttar Pradesh and forms the part of famous “Golden Triangle tour”. It forms the first destination on the itinerary of most tourists visiting to India.
Agra has a rich historical background, which is abundantly apparent from the various historical monuments in and around the city. The city is mentioned in Mahabharata where it was stated as Agrevana. Moreover, it remained capital of Mughal Empire during medieval period and became centre of attraction of many emperors’ of India which makes Agra a historical capital of India.
Emperor Akbar constructed the Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri near Agra. Fatehpur Sikri continued his capital for around fifteen years. The city was left isolated in mystifying circumstances thereafter. Jahangir titivated Agra with palaces and gardens regardless of spending most of his time in Kashmir with which he was fervently attached. He marked the zenith of Mughal architecture, when he built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Later, Shahjahan moved his capital to the new city of Shahjahanabad in Delhi and ruled from there. Aurangzeb dethroned his father Shah Jahan and later imprisoned him in the Agra Fort. Aurangzeb moved the capital to Agra till his death. After his death, Mughal Empire could not touch its crest and many provincial kingdoms emerged.

Taj Mahal of India , "the essence of love" is a monument of immeasurable beauty and is one of the most elegant and extravagant monuments in India. The beauty of this magnificent monument is beyond the scope of words. Paradoxically, the first sight of the Taj Mahal, leaves tourists enthralled and perpetually fascinated. Standing royally on the banks of Yamuna River, the Taj Mahal is tantamount to love and romance. It is alleged that the name "Taj Mahal" was derived from the name of Shah Jahan's wife, Mumtaz Mahal which implies "Crown Palace".
It is white marble and semi-precious stones on the dome of the Taj that make Taj Mahal change color during the day and on moonlight nights. The colors change at different hours of the day. Like a jewel, the Taj Mahal shines in moonlight when the semi-precious stones inlaid into the white marble on the main mausoleum catch the glow of the moon. The Taj Mahal is pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening and golden when the moon shines. The limpidness of the white marble, the beautiful embellishment, precious gemstones used and its pictorial site, fascinates tourists from all over the world.
Tourism is the one of the significant basis of income in Agra. Agra is also famous for garment manufacturing and exporting. Leather industry is one of the most conventional industries of the city. The Kinari bazaar is the famous city centre which has jewelers and garments shops.
